Waddesdon Manor in Buckinghamshire is an astonishing French Renaissance-style château built by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild in the 1870s to display his outstanding collection of art treasures and to entertain the fashionable world. Generally, only Lord Rothschild entertains at the Manor and the rooms are used on very exceptional occasions.

The evening would begin with vintage Champagne served on the Parterre, after which you and your guests would enjoy a tutored tasting of the Rothschild wines, including the world renowned Chateau Lafite-Rothschild and Chateau Mouton-Rothschild. Hosted by a Master of Wine the tasting would take place in Waddesdon’s cellars, home to Lord Rothschild’s private collection of over 15,000 bottles of wine dating back to 1870.
Afterwards a four course dinner would be served in the White Drawing Room, with its glorious views over the Parterre and parkland. The menu would be bespoke to your requirements and prepared by Waddesdon Manor’s Executive Chef. The wines would be selected from the Waddesdon cellars by a Master of Wine specifically to complement your menu.
After dinner guests would be transported to the nearby Hartwell House Hotel & Spa, a magnificent stately home standing in 90 acres of landscaped parkland, for a luxurious overnight stay.
