Major Telecoms Brand - 'Go For It' in the Bahamas

the challenge

This client's incentive is rolled out globally requiring information to be communicated to hopeful qualifiers in 5 different languages.

With delegates arriving for this amazing incentive trip from all over the world we had the logistical challenge of getting 100 guests to the same place at practically the same time, as well as putting together an amazing programme for them when they arrived.

We also had the tiny, small problem of the original programme on Nevis being scrapped in late November after the island was hit by a hurricane…..

our thinking

After some speedy research and a few sleepless nights the Island of Great Exuma was confirmed as the new destination and the programme outlined. With no time for another site visit we worked closely with the Four Seasons Hotel to find new suppliers for everything that was taking place off the property.

Our in-house team designed a website from which we captured all the information needed from the guests detailing which optional activities they had chosen as well as their preferred departure points. This was all set up for the original programme and had to be rewritten and retranslated into 5 languages in under 2 weeks.

As there are only 3 flights per week from London to Nassau we routed the 60 European guests through Heathrow. With 8 connecting flights a hectic morning was guaranteed but we managed to get all of the guests on the plane with just moments to spare. 10 hours later we arrived in Nassau and transferred to our 2 privately chartered planes for the short hop over to Great Exuma. The rest of the group from Australia, Korea, Argentina, Brazil and America transferred through Miami.

our solution

Welcome drinks took place on the Royal Lawn before most of the guests took advantage of an early night to get rid of the Jet Lag. The next day we took the whole group to Stocking Island where they were able to indulge in nature walks, snorkeling, sea kayaking and plain old sun worshipping. That evening reception drinks were on the beach with fire eaters and limbo dancers before moving inside for the recognition awards.

The next two days were taken up with optional activities of deep sea fishing, bone fishing, scuba diving, catamaran trips, spa treatments and golf. The gala dinner on Saturday night took place at Bougainvillea House, a US$7.5millon private ocean facing villa with a rooftop sky deck. There were speeches, a Jonkanoo (masquerade festival parade), marsh-mallow toasting on the beach and dancing till dawn in the tropical rain.

Sunday was full of last minute swims in the ocean, lazy lunches and long farewells before we all headed off back to our own corners of the globe………
