CBS party in style

the challenge

Our client approached us with a brief to produce their annual summer client party that was also a double celebration as they had just won the contract for all the advertising at the new shopping centre in London. The Brief– “I want a beautiful party for beautiful people, a bit like Britain's next top model” After putting forward a number of venues we finally decided on Bloomsbury Ballroom, with its art deco feel it fit the bill. We managed to get Bloomsbury to allow us to use Create to cater the event even though they are not on the list and also secure our clients preferred date of Thursday 17th July.

our thinking

Our client had seen a picture of a highly stylized previous event held in the Ballroom
and said she wanted her event to have that feel. Not only did we manage to completely recreate the look but we improved on it by added more sumptuous furnishings and an incredible Ice Sculpture of the London skyline with a frozen tube train underground and frozen London busses running along the top.

However he fashion Show was a bit more tricky, without a designer in mind or any clothes and with only the brief of “We want it to be themed around tubes and busses” we really had to get our thinking caps on. It was a great opportunity for Full Circle to show off and put together some slick entertainment for the evening. We created 3 bespoke Fashion shows from the ground up, each one celebrating a different part of the London Transport network. After auditioning casting and selecting the models we had a week in the studio choreographing the show and designing the sound and lighting. Highly stylised models alongside UK B-Boy champions ‘Methods of Movement' popped, shimmied and power-walked their way down a purpose built multi-coloured catwalk to the sound of the Ting Tings and Dizzee Rascal.

Interspersing the fashion shows we had 2 killer acts to entertain the crowd with DJ Woody, 7-time international scratch DJ champion cutting scratching and chopping his way through a thumping old school set. Next up was BeatBox royalty Killa Kela, a lad at the top of his game both in the UK and worldwide, who along with DJ Skeletrik and his resident drummer put on a heart stopping show. To continue the evening well into the morning a VJ assaulted the senses with a visual and audio extravaganza.

our solution

The event was resounding success and with 600 happy guests through the doors it was a great party.
“THANK YOU for an amazing party last night. Jenna and Jo you did an amazing job. Seriously it went like a dream and you managed the whole thing so well, I felt like I didn't need to do anything. I have never felt so redundant at my own event ever! Last year I was lugging sun loungers and umbrellas around at our party, this year I was quaffing champagne and having fun. I was really impressed with professionalism of all the staff - they all worked really hard. The food was great, perfect and lots of it. The catwalk show worked really well and went down a storm and the acts were fab. The boys clearly being a clear favorite with the crowd. You did a top job so thank you”
