New Zealand cricket team dinner

the challenge

The client wanted to hold a fundraising dinner in London for the New Zealand cricket team prior to the nPower test matches against England, held throughout the UK.

our thinking

They needed an event company that could not only manage the event but who could also sell tables to corporate clients. As all proceeds were going to charity, costs needed to be kept to a minimum. We were able to achieve this by drawing on the resources from within our group - our sister company Create for catering, our production company Full Circle for staging and lighting, and one of our venues, Plaisterers' Hall, for the location.

our solution

On the night itself, our staff acted as the front of house staff, again in order to keep cost down, taking payments after the auction and collecting raffle tickets. Over £10,000 was raised for The PCA Benevolent Fund and the New Zealand Cricket Players Association. Entertainment was provided by the team themselves as several of them took part in a Q & A session giving guests an insight into the team's future plans.
