conferencing with high rollers

the challenge

Prudential wanted to get the finance team together for an informal conference to discuss the issues associated with the Networked Organisation. They approached eventwise to produce the conference and develop a team building activity to complement the conference content.

our thinking

It was decided that the High Roller game would suit the conference objectives, which emphasised the need to work together as a team to overcome problems. The game also suited the mathematcial minds of the participants and the game was written with a key financial aspect.

our solution

After a nice early start to get all the production in place the guests began arriving by coach from Reading and Heathrow and were soon seated for the first of their conference sessions.

During this time, our sister company Business Pursuits set up for the High Roller activity in a partitioned area of the room and after a quick coffee break our facilitator briefed the guests on their task – build a roller coaster within budget, on time and in line with health and safety regulations.

An hour and a half later and we had two fully built roller coasters and one happy winning team who's ball travelled all the way along the tracks without falling off!
