The Concerto Challenge

Our internal client 'The Concerto Group' approached eventwise with regards to organising a fundraising event to raise money for our nominated charity of the year. We wanted an event that would provide a physical challenge for as many people across the company as possible, and as the majority of participents were based in London, they did not want it to be more than a few hours away. Previous years events had involved cycling from London to Brighton and hiking across the Breacon Beacons.

our thinking

eventwise came up with the idea of a triathlon , whereby different options combining running, walking, cycyling and canoeing would mean that there would be something to suit the fitness level of the majority of participants.

A number of suitabale locations were put forward and it was decided that Rutland Water would offer the best possibility for mutible activities and it would be possible travel from and back to London in one day.

Participants would be encourged to register for the event via an internet site, where they would be provided with all the instructions, training ideas, and details of how to fundraise.

eventwise would organise all the logistics of the event, which included:

Planning travel to and from the chosen destination,

Hiring the bikes and canoes for everyone,

Creating detailed maps,

Providing refreshments points along the course and of course organising the party at the end of the challenge!

our solution

eventwise managed the whole process from asssiting the client with communicating the challenge internally through the intranet and providing a registration system through RSVP on line, to sourcing local catering to keep the costs to a minimum. Over £23k was raised for the charity and the event was deemed great success. eventwiseare already planning the next event.
