Diamond Jubilee

Bringing you the best of British and all things street party. Imagine a traditional marquee festooned with bunting and crisp red, white and blue tablecloths, whilst guests seated on deckchairs patriotically wave their union jack flags around the bandstand, to an array of music from traditional jazz to contemporary lounge singers. Around the site relaxing seating areas are created with straw bales covered with rugs, floral bunting adds colour and décor.

Throughout the day guests are thrilled by traditional fairground rides, country pursuits and hands on craft activities for the children. At lunch time, the marquee is abuzz as the hog roast is served and for mid-afternoon it's a choice of Pimm's o'clock in the bar tent or a delicious afternoon tea of sandwiches without crusts and a pot of England's finest. As the day comes to a close and guests start to make their way home, the stream of happy faces reveals not a child without a smile and a painted face.

The Games

Following the lighting of the flame, your games are open and the greatest show on earth begins. Throughout the day children and adults alike are given the opportunity to be top of the podium and compete in a series of sports. From shooting for gold in archery, competing to be the strongest rower or football's next Pele, there is something for everybody. Guests can compete at their leisure against people of a similar age or simply choose to take part for fun.

Alongside the competitive sports an array of fairground rides, entertainers and music on the central stage will keep everybody entertained. At lunch, guests are served a wonderful BBQ in the sun before competing for medals in the showpiece event, the knockout. The day concludes with a medal ceremony on the podium before guests go home glittered with gold, silver and bronze.
