This Christmas Thorpe Park will host Blitz themed party nights, transporting guests back in time to the 1940's, where they can “forget their troubles and get happy” dancing the jive and the boogie- woogie as a big band performs. Ladies can get glammed up to the nines like Forces Sweetheart Vera Lynn, dressed in their best frocks with a neat up-do, rouge lips and painted nails, while the gents can take inspiration from silver screen stars such as Laurence Olivier and don lounge suits or military attire.

Thorpe Park's hospitality venue; Lake View will set the scene with posters from the era including Kitchener's ‘Your Country Needs You' and legendary pin-up girls. Union Jack coloured bunting, a traditional Christmas tree with classic ornaments and paper decorations, ambient lighting, festive plants including holly, ivy and pine cones all form part of the vibe accentuating the bygone theme.
