Valencia overview

Throughout the centuries great historic events have left their mark on this city enriching its heritage. Today Valencia is one of the most important cities in Spain, economically, culturally and politically. With a budget of over 200 million euros for revamping the port area and stunning architectural design now starting to take shape, Spain's new hot-spot is gearing up to be Europe's most fashionable destination!
With many distinct quarters in Valencia one of the best things to do in the Old Quarter is to walk along the old tiny winding Souk-like streets which are a reminder of the city's old Moorish past. Museums, churches and markets abound and you'll have the distinct feeling of being transported back in time.
This is the real Valencia. It's not only the history, it's the thriving restaurants, cafes, bars and nightlife which are at the heart of this beautiful city.

Valencia is served by indirect flights from national carriers and direct flights by budget airlines. Our research has shown that the following indirect Iberia flight would work well for this incentive programme.

The Hotel Las Arenas Balneario Resort is a luxury five-star hotel located in the historic spa of Balneario Las Arenas dating back to 1898, a few minutes walk from the city centre at a privileged seafront location. Day one

Guests meet at a private check in desk at London's Heathrow Airport.

Guests travel to Valencia with Iberia at 11:15.

On arrival at 15:55 guests will be met and transferred on luxury air-conditioned coaches to the hotel where a welcome drink awaits them.

Dinner at the hotel's restaurant.

Overnight at the hotel.

Day two

Breakfast at leisure.

Departure for morning push bike tour of Valencia.

Lunch at end point of tour.

Afternoon at Leisure.

Transfer to a central restaurant for dinner.

Return transfer and overnight at hotel.

Day three

Breakfast at leisure.

Departure for the Natural reserve of the Albufera, a magnificent Natural Park and birth place of the famous Paella. Guest will be given the opportunity to relax and enjoy a boat trip on the Albufera Lake on traditional boats.

Lunch – Paella Lesson, guests will be given all the tools, ingredients and instructions needed to cook their own paella before eating it.

Return to hotel by luxury coach, time at leisure.

Transfer to a central restaurant for dinner.

Luxury coach return transfer and overnight at hotel.

Day four

Breakfast & morning at leisure.

Luxury coach transfer to airport.

Guests depart on Iberia 14.45 for Heathrow.

An indication of the likely cost of the programme as outlined above is £1,160.00 + UK vat per person based on the following criteria:

A group of 50 people.

Travel in May 2009.

Economy class air travel on Iberia.

Sharing twin accommodation.

All activities mentioned above are included.

The group would be accompanied by one eventwise travel director.
