A Winter Festival

We created a bespoke summer festival for the ultimate Christmas party

Theming and entertainment brought the atmosphere of summer festivals to life for this unique winter celebration at the Roundhouse. We brought the outside in with design features including hay bales, yurts and even portaloos which doubled as make-up stalls.

Setting the scene at the entrance to was a carpet of grass and bunting, which gave guests a taste of what to expect as they collected their lanyards from our grassy-green reception desk.

The event made full use of the venue’s impressive audiovisual facilities, using screens to play festival footage throughout the night, whilst the DJ got those feet moving on the dance floor. Lighting helped complete the look, cloaking the venue’s stairs in green. The main room took on lighter green and yellow colouring with the help of an LED Chandelier.

Guests got into the festival spirit with our wellie competition. Those looking for a little pampering could unwind with a massage or add a little sparkle to their ensemble with our glitter artists. Guests could even get a sneak peek at what the coming year would bring with a visit to the fortune teller.

No Christmas party is complete without indulgent menus, so guests were treated to all the festival favourites. Following a canapé reception main courses were served from street food stalls. Guests chose from gourmet burgers at the Brick Lane Burger Bar – the ultimate in urban junk food, Eight Hour Pulled Pork served from a bohemian-style stall, or noodles from Wok This Way. Those who fancied something sweet could then head over to the inflatable ice cream van for dessert.

Entertainment kept guests on their toes, with santa sumo suits, a rodeo reindeer, batak games and a high striker all on hand to test guests’ competitive streaks. Those wanting to hit the dance floor could head for the silent disco, or try their hand at singing with the Karavanaoke. There was also live music, courtesy of party band Madhen, a DJ, and indoor shishas for those who just wanted to relax and soak up the atmosphere.

And that makes it official – festivals aren’t just for summer! Contact us if you would like to arrange your own festival.
