Who didn’t love school sports day growing up? Even if you weren’t the sportiest of children, activities like the egg and spoon race were for everyone! Which is why, our school sports day still remains to be one of our most-loved summer activities year after year.

This June, we took our School Sports Day to the idyllic Winchester House. Winchester House is a beautiful venue in Putney; an historical house featuring a private garden overlooking the Thames – the perfect setting for a sports day!

Our client had 70 guests coming together for an afternoon of fun, laughter and team building. One of the best things about our School Sports Day is that it is bespoke to the client, and you can choose which sports day activities you want to be available. On this occasion, our races included:

  • Egg & spoon race
  • Giant sack race
  • Wacky relay (dress up)
  • Beanbag race
  • Ball in a bucket
  • Garden quoits
  • Giant jenga
  • Giant connect 4

On the day of the event, Eventwise provided complete set up, as well as 3 event managers on site to help with the running of the day. Once guests arrived, they were briefed on the activities ahead of them before being split into teams for the races to begin! At the end of the day, the winning team was presented with medals and a trophy. Following the sports day, guests were invited to enjoy drinks on lawn and a BBQ and party the night away in the main ballroom at Winchester House.
