Whilst an evening out bowling or a meal are a nice casual treat, it doesn’t always have the same impact as a team building activity, especially those that require large outdoor spaces. We love getting outside and getting some fresh air – it doesn’t matter if you’re a keen sportsman or not – outdoor team building is so much fun.
It’s A Knockout
It might require a lot of space, but it’s the ultimate summer team building activity. It’s a Knockout has a large selection of games to choose from, as well as comperes and trained instructors onsite to ensure your day is the best it can be. The tournament allows smaller teams to work together, whilst also competing head to head with each other. With over 5 acres of private land in the centre of London, The Artillery Garden this is a bit of a rare find. It can accommodate up to 2,400 guests and has access to the Honourable Artillery Company grounds. You can fill the area with inflatables and set a series of competitions going between team mates.
Mega Mix Fun Day
One of our favourites (and tried and tested) is the Mega Mix Fun Day. Sack races, tug of war, egg and spoon – you name it, we’ve got it covered, and it’s so much fun! This event works really well at The Garden Room at Syon Park. It’s surrounded by 50 acres of idyllic parkland, and offers a stunning setting for summer events, and is only 10 miles from central London. The private garden has stunning views of the increasingly popular Syon House and is an excellent spot for team building.
Learn to juggle, plate spin, tight-rope walk and use unicycles! A Circus Skills team building workshop is a great way to push boundaries, motivate, communicate and learn new skills (that you may or may not use in your every-day life!). Set within the 160-acre park, The Conservatory at Painshill is a purpose-built event space designed within Painshill’s private walled gardens. The venue is suitable for smaller away day opportunities holding 320 guests, but has ample outdoor space. This Christmas they’ll be hosting Le Cirque – a circus themed party extravaganza, so we thought a Circus Skills team building activity couldn’t be more fitting.
Inspired by the iconic 90s TV show. Sadly Richard O’Brien is busy, but that doesn’t mean you can’t dodge landmines, balance blindfolded and catch gold tickets in the dome. The Crystal Challenge is a great opportunity for team building. Participants can test their skills and knowledge in a variety of different ways, from mental arithmetic, to spatial awareness, trust, delegation and motivating others. Down in leafy Putney, the historic Winchester House is a hidden gem overlooking the Thames and boasts a private garden suitable for 60 guests. We’re pleased to say it’s even got enough space for a mini Crystal Challenge so you can problem solve to your heart’s content and finish the day off in the inflatable dome!
That’s just a handful of our outdoor team building activities, we have so many more and know so many places to run them. Get in touch today to find out how we can help you!
